CME to start micro Bitcoin futures on May 3
CME Group, one of the world's largest derivatives markets, announced it would begin trading micro Bitcoin futures on May 3.
CME Group announced it would begin trading micro Bitcoin futures on May 3. Futures contracts subject to transactions that will be subject to regulatory approval will be 1/10 of the size of 1 Bitcoin, the CME Group said in a statement. The new contracts are intended to offer investors a different hedge against Bitcoin price volatility.
CME offered bitcoin futures and options to investors, as well as Ether futures. The statement also said liquidity in Bitcoin futures had increased.
