They Stole £ 80k From Bitcoin Investor Aged 80

An 80-year-old bitcoin investor living in the UK was defrauded and lost £ 80,000.

In the incident in Nottinghamshire, England, a Bitcoin investor was the victim of fraud through a website. According to a statement from Nottinghamshire Police, the investor invested £ 400 after signing up for the site, but lost all his savings after the investment.

What's happened?

One 80-year-old investor was curious because he had heard a lot about bitcoin, did research on the internet and decided that this investment was suitable for him. Nottinghamshire Police allege the investor registered with the site and was then repeatedly called by the company it was registered to.

To get investors to invest more, scammers are said to keep calling by phone and sending messages 3-4 times a day.

Most of his money went like this

Police said the company persuaded the victim to invest more. But most of the investor's money has gone with the seizure of his bank account. The fraudster stole £ 60,000 by accessing the victim's online banking account.

The bank used by the victim noticed the suspicious situation in online banking transactions and prevented the investor from trading online. Nottinghamshire Police said: "We have told the investor not to open incoming phones and emails. We continue to work to support the victim."I said.

Finally, it was noted that scams with remote access are on the rise and therefore caution should be exercised.
